AETHYX MEDIAE & Android stuff
Nihao!
Currently we are working heavily in the background on several Lollipop translations to get those Indie ROM trains running.
Furthermore, the year just started and our friends and families are still our top priority.
In the meantime: We recommend closing your Twitter and Facebook accounts. Some independent sources say hackers are on their way (Lizard squad and history in the making, you know).
Anyway. Keep your heads up as well as your eyes and ears open.

We did as we promised.
After Zockerseele, which is all about video games, as well as Gizmeo, which is all about gadgets, we ported JPCARS.de, which is all about Japanese cars (obviously), to Android:
(Click to show app in Google Play Store)
You need at least Frozen Yogurt to run it. This way we guarantee that our app runs on as much Android devices as possible. Also, up to Android 4.1.2 it’s possible to shovel the app to your SD card. It’s very small, maybe you never need this feature: only 400KB (without cached files).
Well, show your support! We hope you like it, it’s completely free as always!
Our ambitions won’t stop here, of course. We released 4 brand new Android apps to the world in only two years. If we keep up this pace we will have a very neat repository of Android apps in the future. Something to aim for!

Our fast, secure, small and neat touch screen Android web browser is blogging:
We didn’t do anything. He just started this project on his own.
Well, Android is a strange little cradle for artificial intelligence, don’t you think?
But who’s complaining. We are happy he’s showing his independence to the world. Keep on, lil buddy!
See you around,

Instead of using brand new technology just for us, Gizmeo.com & Zockerseele.com in this case, we created something new for everyone to use: YAABy. Which stands for: YetAnotherAndroidBrowser. With a little y at the end, to stand out from the pack.
Get it here:
Basically it uses the same technology as our other Android-Apps: Webkit does the rendering and other browser-stuff.
We enhanced the experience in two critical ways:
a) an address bar for your URLs
b) a secure SSL-connection to the one and only EU-certified search engine Startpage as main feature
This app is still in Beta, but there should be no big problems already. This is really a work in progress, don’t expect too much. Updates will be delivered from time to time, new features will only be implemented if it makes sense to me or if the users really need it. Feedback welcome.
One of the main problems with a lot of web browsers on Android is they are simply too huge and not running on low powered devices. With YAABy you only need FroYo and you’re good to go.
Welcome to our family, YAABy!

This is a completely new field for us, but we are happy to be there: Right now it is also possible to enjoy our projects on Android devices!
We made an app for Gizmeo.com (our gadget webzine) and Zockerseele.com (our video game webzine) respectively. These are available here:
Our first two official Android apps on Google Play.
Due to the fact these zines are those with the most visitors this step is quite logical of course.
What we can say for now is that these apps won’t be our last. Android is a completely new way to experience consumer electronics. It is very likely that we will write more apps. And of course these will also be stand alone applications which might not be directly associated with our new media ambitions. There is so much more you can code. If you find the time…
But remember: This is just a starting point. We begin to understand what Android does and so are these first two apps. Don’t expect too much of them, we are not backed by a mega corporation (which has its advantages, btw), so we are not able to pay for hundreds of programmers and stuff. This needs time. And these apps are just several weeks “old”.
In the meantime we hope to enrich your lifes even more. This a whole leap forward. We hope to keep up the pace. See it as a free & open surplus of what we do.
Read you soon,
all the best,
