Dear readers and customers,
by the end of this month, we are reaching the end of our very first year of AI art generation. Okay, technically it’s not AI but strict machine learning. But nobody gives a damn out there anyways.
So without further ado, let’s celebrate our most popular creations for the first time and tell you some details about them (click to enlarge):
#5 Atlantis
This is really one of the first ones we ever did, end of August 2022 with the open source tool Stable Diffusion on one of our laptops. The command how we generated it can even be seen publicly on the artwork detail page on Deviantart. We are proud we made it and it aquired 6 fans so far. (Buy it as an adoptable for 9$)
#4 8K Space Odyssey
We were experimenting with the built-in generator tool from Deviantart called “DreamUp”. The biggest difference from what we could create last year is the resolution: 1280x1280px instead of 512x512px here. We didn’t see much of a difference in details or quality. We guess “DreamUp” is built around Stable Diffusion itself as it’s freely available as an open source artwork generator tool. This space odyssey attracted 7 fans so far.
#3 Japanese concept cars in a Japanese cherry tree spring setting I
Another one created with “DeviantArt”s own tool. The prompt is there as well, 7 fans so far.
#2 Japanese concept cars in a Japanese cherry tree spring setting II
Except the cherry tree alley, we think this one of the ugliest ones we ever created, haha! Nevertheless, it’s almost our most popular, attracting 9 fans so far. Same as above, from our five most popular AI art creations, three are currently done by “DreamUp”.
#1 a Neuromancer quote
It honours us that the most popular AI art creation was done by us with our local machine! It’s the visualisation of an original Neuromancer quote: “His eyes were eggs of unstable crystal, vibrating with a frequency whose name was rain and the sound of trains, suddenly sprouting a humming forest of hair-fine glass spines” We and 8 others think this must have been a masterpiece for its prompt. And we won’t complain, as it’s also the only entry here with a comment (Thank you soulcreator789!).
Currently, we are testing out SDXL 1.0 on the exact same machine. Our first experiments look promising, although we want to be honest and admit that a hardware piece from 2019 with 6GB of RAM shows us our current limits very fast. We can’t do hi-res creations, as an example. And one creation with a minimum stepping of 30 iterations takes over 10 minutes for us. So it seems, before we can invest 3,000€-4,000€ to get that 4090 laptop on the market, we have to sell a gazillion of adoptables to really be able to keep up pace with the current industry. Yes, being indie is hard, no doubt about that.
We hope you enjoyed our little artwork excursion today and who knows, if we are still in the AI art creation space next year, we publish another AETHYX MEDIAE artwork ranking entry. 🙂
So long and keep counting those s/it

Dear readers and customers,
information is the currency of the current century. Demand will surpass that of oil soon enough.
As such, we are proud to announce a new product line as of now: we call them splitters!
A splitter is:
* an investment report about an NFT project
* inside, we present you on five slides in a compact and readable form if the NFT project you are interested in is worth investing
* available as PPT or PDF. Or both
* unique: you name us the NFT. We do research and analysis about it and put it into those reports
* only 99€/splitter
You mean, despite we are an indie publishing house from inside the EU knowing the web from A to Z since 22 years now? Here’s a quick timeline:
2013/2014: we mine Bitcoin through ASICs
2014: we accept Bitcoin and support it on all our projects
2017: we get our first Ethereum address and start investing in Ether. This cryptocurrency was only worth 500-600€ at that time
2017: we launch https://kryptowiki.eu/, the one and only cryptocurrency wiki for German speaking countries (Germany, Switzerland, Austria – 100+ million native speakers here). Bitcoin was worth only 2,237€ at that specific time
Also 2017: we launch https://kryptogeld.io/, a cryptocurrency startup
2018: we launch an Android companion app for Kryptowiki. Same year: we support Ethereum and create open-source projects for it
2019: we observe the NFT market closely via https://opensea.io. We don’t own NFTs yet
2021: we own NFTs. Same year: we sell official merchandise with our NFT artwork
2022: we do splitters and sell them for 99€ per report, so you know if you should invest in an NFT or not. It’s our way to do serious NFT consultancy
It’s easy, as always: just hit us up via info@aethyx.eu. Payment is possible via the usual payment methods (PayPal, Bitcoin, Ether, IBAN, etc.).

Dear readers and customers,
we are officially back in the merchandising business here at AETHYX MEDIAE! Hee-ho!
We are proudly starting off with our own NFT collection here. Over time this will certainly grow, at the moment we hit 119 articles already. For our future developments, please support us and use the following webshop we provided for your convenient shopping:
Let us present you our current collection in a bit more detail now:
—
CryptoKitties is one of the oldest Web3 games using Blockchain technology but to this date definitely one of the most sophisticated. Our own bred CryptoKitty Count Mugness may not be very rare, it’s at #2004979, but we created it 100% on our own. Nice Goodies: drives a cart(!) and wears the Ethereum logo on its forehead. This kitty will go places for sure!
Hashmasks is an amazing living(!) digital art collectible project from Switzerland. This is our first mask we could obtain here. Standing at #5810 it was named by us and is now called Nut after the Egyptian Goddess of the sky. It makes us very proud to be part of this project, so proud we obtained another one this year…
…which is this one: Hashmask #15681. Not named yet. Only 16,384 digital portraits were ever produced, making both Hashmask NFTs currently our most rare and valuable.
Sometimes we just get stuff for fun and no other reason, so this ape from The Great Ape Society was purchased because… whatever! It reminded us of Raoul Duke from “Fear and Loathing Las Vegas”, played fantastically and hilarously by one of our most favourite actors, Johnny Depp. Obtaining this NFT was thus a no-brainer. If you think it can’t get more hilarious, wait until…
…you see this banana weapon! This was actually minted by us for around 50€. We didn’t know what we would get, it was a surprise algorithm. We think it fits perfectly in case, you know, our ape above has to defend his territory in a way some day. Or whatever.
Last but not least: our Tokyo Cyberpunk avatar, #3 of only 5,000. Cyberpunk is what us defines the most at AETHYX MEDIAE. And to be honest: most NFTs on the market right now just don’t click with us. So we are proud and very happy to own one from a project which we would have been happily and proudly created ourselves. Which we didn’t, we don’t have a clue how to do NFT art, sorry. |

That’s it for the moment, folks!
Please buy our stuff!
Every Cent will be re-invested in the projects we create and maintain here at AETHYX MEDIAE.

Dear readers,
in a couple of months we’re existing as an online publishing house for more than a decade.
What we observed so far is, although we got a diversification of tools we can use and set up online, plus there are more available than when we started, the problem today seems we’re overlooking too fast which one is the best for ourselves.
(A logo representing free speech by the EFF)
No illusions here: the world around us became more complicated.
When we started setting up and building weblogs there wasn’t even a technical term for this technology. YouTube didn’t exist yet as well as other “social networks”, smartphones or tablets.
So, believe us please that even we couldn’t anticipate which tools and services we would offer over time.
What started as pioneering online publishing technology in 2001 finally became AETHYX MEDIAE in 2010, offering a plethora of services and technology for the 21. century made with love and based in Europe:
We call these four our core services today as we got most of our knowledge here as well as our own history (and clients, of course).
Despite those listed we’re always open for trying something new.
Let us mention here our PS3 Linux repository project, our one and only MediaWiki project Kryptowiki, we even started an adult toy store in 2014 or an own social network project we use for inhouse communication. The list won’t end here: https://aethyx.eu/where/.
Thus, we never know where technology may lead us and we take risks but are also proud of exploring new realms. Just like you!
Which brings us back to the title of this post: which of these tools is the best for you? Let us be your partner and drop us a line to find out: info@aethyx.eu!
Like you we’re eager where our journey together will lead us. And just because the tool we’ll find together is not listed yet on our websites doesn’t mean we don’t offer it. 🙂 The future is here to conquer it together!
Hope to hear from you soon,
the aethyx staff
Dear readers & customers,
the age of PHP 5.x is finally over, welcome PHP 7.x running many of our web projects:
Which means today, April the 12th 2019, is the very last day your projects and webspace might support PHP 5.x. Regarding EOL of PHP 5.x we’re months overdue now.
We strongly advise you to update your projects to the newest PHP version.
If you’re using AddHandler
code snippets, switch to this one please: AddHandler php72-cgi .php
.
If you need further help, that’s what we are here for, just drop us a line: info@aethyx.eu.
As long as you’re a client of us, AETHYX MEDIAE, we’ll switch your project/webspace for free if the switch didn’t work out of the box already.
If you need to update a plugin we would be happy to help too:
Depending on lines of code we charge 50€ (min.) to 99€ (max.) per plugin. Please contact us with the name(s) of your plugin(s) if one of those is essential for you and we’ll be happy to help: info@aethyx.eu.
As we were already posting back in October 2018, we updated some of our plugins which contained legacy code and which we edited to work with PHP 7.x ourselves.
Check out our free repository: https://gitlab.com/aethyx/opensource/tree/master/WordPress%20plugins. Feel free to download, share & contribute!
Happy updating and Happy Easter 2019,
the aethyx staff
