Dear readers and customers,
we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
If you still are looking for presents, why not support endangered animals this year?
We not only included a cute cheetah Christmas greeting above, we can also provide you a useful website with last minute presents here:
https://aga-artenschutz.de/spendenshop.html?aktionsgemeinschaft-artenschutz-aga-e-v-5.
It’s the same organisation where we support cheetahs. But of course you know this already.
As 2024 comes to an end, so do we. We will plug us off now for a while. See you again some day in January. Try to take it slow and take care. These are difficult times.
Best wishes,
the aethyx staff
Dear readers and customers,
first of all we from AETHYX MEDIAE want to wish all of you a Happy New Year 2024!
May some of your wishes come true. Stay healthy. And we hope you and your loved ones had a calm and relaxed start.
Let’s face it: we will have another difficult year, unfortunately.
More alternative web projects are dead now, like Flattr or the social network Ello. With less opportunities on the market than from the “Big5” (Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft), customers as well as humans loose more and more. However alternatives never come for free, especially the good ones. So let’s have a moment of silence for these two brave projects alone! The web became a little bit more monotonous and less powerful than before. It’s a pity. R.I.P.
We need to get active too internally: we used Flattr as an alternative payment service on all our projects. We need to deactivate all of the plugins as well as remove the code. So we start the new year with work we didn’t want to do really. Let’s hope it doesn’t stay that way.
There’s technological light at the end of the tunnel too: maybe we get some cool working AI tools this year. Or a working robot. Or humans finally are able to go to Mars. Let’s concentrate on the prospects, shall we? We believe in human creativity, so there will be some goodies for us to cherish in 2024 for sure!
Keep doing what you are doing! You are great!
All the best,
the aethyx staff
Dear readers and customers,
another tough year is coming to a fast close. And we have the impression that despite all the goodwill and best wishes for the new one from all sides currently, it will be another year full of hard challanges.
But we won’t complain.
Why? Because from 2010 to 2020 we lived through a whole decade of prosperity and wellbeing here. You could basically follow any crazy idea and find investors for it if you searched hard enough. The quality of our products and our lives improved drastically. Again. Progress couldn’t be stopped. At the same time humanity totally forgot that this is not a natural state: nothing goes on for a decade. That’s not how life works. And in our lightning-fast and over-stressed world there’s a price to pay if you stay on the throttle ten years in a row.
In our eyes, what’s happening the last four years straight is consolidation. We need change, drastic change. We need to get better: psychologically, phisiologically as well as financially. If we won’t do it now there will be no future for us humans on this planet. We should take this as a chance, we should take this seriously. And no war will bring us even an inch closer to accomplishing this noble target. Let’s work together and make it better now finally, shall we?
We wish you and your loved ones Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Stay healthy, let’s recharge our batteries now. And if you have the strength and ability next year to change our world only a little to the better, just do.
Take good care,
your aethyx staff
As we ring in the new year, it’s natural to reflect on the past and think about the future. The past year has been one of unprecedented challenges, but it has also been a time of resilience and adaptation. As we look ahead to the new year, it’s important to acknowledge the lessons we’ve learned and the ways in which we’ve grown.
One of the most important things we’ve learned is the importance of community. The pandemic has reminded us of the vital role that families, friends, and neighbors play in our lives. It’s also highlighted the importance of local businesses, who have had to adapt and innovate in order to survive.
As we move forward, we must also acknowledge the ongoing challenges we face. Climate change, racial and social injustice, and economic inequality are all pressing issues that must be addressed. But we must also remember that change starts at the local level. By supporting our communities and local businesses, we can help to create a more equitable and sustainable future.
So, as we start the new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on the past and think about the future. Let’s embrace the new beginnings that come with the new year, and let’s work together to create a better world for all.
Best wishes,
the aethyx (AI) staff
P.S.: this news post as well as its headline were created by the AI chat bot GPT-3. This topic will accompany us for this year as well as much more to come so we thought it was a suitable action and hope you enjoyed!
Dear readers and customers,
the year 2022 will leave us into a great uncertainty.
There’s still a pandemic raging around the planet.
There’s a war going on by Russian aggressors against Ukraine, a free and independent democratic country in eastern Europe.
And there are consequences which western nations will need to take by boycotting totalitarian states like China, with another war against another independent country, Taiwan, looming at the not so distant horizon.
We’ll be honest with you, we had better times. And unfortunately it’s not possible at the moment what price we will pay for our mutual future, as it’s a huge burden for independent small companies like us to make money and stay alive through difficult and uncertain times.
Nevertheless, we are willing to adapt, no matter what difficulties may arise the next years. We are sure if we will make it to, e.g. 2025, we should have the resilience to be there for a longer time. If not, whatever. We did our best. And we’re not willing to accept an unwritten future. Yet.
As such, we will maintain and develop products which help you manage and enjoy your life. We always do this by open-source technology, we always bring our heart into them, we always strive to bring out the best with very limited resources. And we think we do this well, as you might have already read up on our “Where?” page.
For 2022 we won’t tease you with a seasonal image in our last company article of the year like we always do. The last years were hard, 2022 was a negative highlight of it all, with too much lives taken for nothing on our home territory Europe.
We wish you a Merry Christmas, that you stay healthy and can have a wonderful time with your loved ones. And also a Happy New Year: may your batteries be recharged well because we will need those energies for at least another two years.
Take care and all the best to you,
the aethyx staff
