Set back your Email collector schedule to at least 1 hour. Or even better: 24 hours, if you can. What is important today will be surely tomorrow too. All the other stuff can wait. Or goes directly to the recycling bin.
Buy a “dumbphone” and lock away your “smartphone”. Work yourself up, if you can’t live without: one day, two days. Then a week, then two. And so on. Get your life back, bit by bit. It’s worth it.
Learn a new language. And no, we don’t mean a programming language.
Delete your “social media”. Communicate and make friends for real.
Become active in local communities: help clean your block or village. Be a nanny. Pet dogs or cats – or get one yourself. Feed the ravens. Talk to your neighbour. Clean your windows. Or help others clean theirs because they are unable to do so.
Try some sports. Hate it, drop out. Try again and find something new. Repeat.
Sleep more and consume less caffeine, nicotine or junk food. Learn to cook!
Try to spend less money.
Try less shopping.
Ever thought about moving to Portugal permanently?
No, we are not joking. These are not funny times. See it as a warning. All will go to sh*t the next 25 years if all unfolds what’s constantly unwrapping the last 5 years alone. Spending this time in front of a screen is the worst you can do at the moment.
And yes, we know this will cut ourselves off too. In the end it’s business what we do but we won’t be here anymore if there’s no future for us all. Who needs a website or an app if it’s diffcult to pay rent or to afford food? Yeah, exactly.
And we feel it already. There’s no business case needed for our current times. But we will find ways. Like we always did. It will just be different. And why should it be for the worse, right? Exactly.
Life became unbareable, the speed alone. It’s no use to keep up, it’s no alternative to give up. As human beings, we are deeply rooted in nature and its cycles. Time to take back what was taken from us. And inspiration will come in no time.
You can do it! You are worth it!

When we started this project we didn’t know what the world would be in the future. There were some technological developments going on already which made it clear though that it will be all around the web. Gladly, to this day nothing here has changed.
What has changed is the mindset. However we can’t and won’t blame people here as all became way to complex to handle it all in a very limited amount of time.
So what we still try is to help people making the most of their limited resources. Be it time, money, hardware or software. We excel here because we know about the problem and needed to find workarounds for ourselves. Many realised and successful projects later, we wanted to give back what we experienced and thus the idea of AETHYX MEDIAE was born.
Our philosophy is you can achieve what we did too. And with our help you will need much less resources for this goal. What we burned you don’t need to burn yourself anymore, so to speak.
For us, people come first, technology second.
It’s no use to have the best tools lying around if nobody can use them. So we will not only help you set up your project, we’ll also accompany you in your journey to excel in it. Imagine an Internet of lanes, where the ones get the fastest lane who pay the most. That would be the death of net neutrality, a concept which the Obama administration tried to support but right now seems to fail miserably.
A lot of corporations tried to kill the Internet before: Comcast. Verizon. AT&T. To name only a few. And the NSA stuff about Edward Snowden didn’t mean that things would get any better, to say the least.
We live in a world of sick societies. Most of the people you meet, you work with, you like and appreciate, don’t have the slightest clue what’s going on in reality. In real time. Anywhere. They just don’t give a shit, all they care about is C.R.E.A.M. We live in a cold, misinformed, polarising world, where those are punished who try to educate, evaluate, really want to entertain.
Prefixes are inverted in this world, what appears “good” is bad, what they call “bad” is often good. Good for you as an individual, good for your future, good for your morals. If you want to dive deeper, just check the biography of one of the most important geniuses of our time: Aaron Swartz. For those who never heard this name: he was the one realising the semantic web for the ordinary users, who killed himself because he tried to publicise closed-source scientific records. Welcome to your real world. Do you feel comfortable in this world? Do you have the slightest clue what’s really going on?
